Medicine and Health
Sciences
Innovations in medicine, health care delivery, and health care management have impacted the full fabric of daily living. As we hurtle towards a knowledge economy, the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship provides opportunity for all undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Medicine to channel discipline-specific skills into new venture development. Are you interested in creating innovations in your field? Can you envision ways to impact health care?
Whether you are a practitioner, a researcher, or an administrator, the entrepreneurship field of study will teach you the principles and skills necessary to bring an idea from formulation to implementation. Entrepreneurship courses teach you how to understand market considerations for your innovations, with course offerings that provide an introduction to new venture development and Intellectual Property (IP) from the new venture perspective. Entrepreneurship courses are available to undergraduate and graduate students in all majors.
